«Semi-infinite wedge approach to studying the generating function of colored HOMFLY invariants of torus knots»
Approach involving operators on the semi-infite wedge space (the free-fermion space in the physicists' terminology) proved to be quite fruitful in proving various facts regarding various types of Hurwitz numbers, including proving that their generating functions can be recovered with the help of the spectral curve topological recursion procedure.
In the talk we are going to discuss the application of this approach to a rather different case: the case of colored HOMFLY invariants of torus knots. It turns out that with the help of this approach it is possible to prove the important polynomiality property for the coefficients of the corresponding generating function, in a way similar to the one used for Hurwitz numbers; although interesting new complications arise. This polynomiality result then leads to proving the corresponding topological recursion; this, however, lies outside of the scope of the present talk.
The talk is based on the joint work with A.Popolitov, S.Shadrin and A.Sleptsov.
