We will consider two different Poisson structures on the moduli space of flat connections. The first one is the classical Atiyah-Bott form, reduced to the moduli space of flat connections. The second was introduced by I.M. Krichever within the framework of his theory of meromorphic L-operators on Riemann surfaces. We will show that on the phase space of the Schlesinger isomonodromic deformation on the Riemann sphere, these two structures coincide up to a sign.
