Higher order regularization of mean curvature flow and related variational aspects
Abstract.
We review some results on the limit, as a small parameter goes to zero, of a regularization scheme for mean curvature flow, constructed with higher order terms in the derivatives. We also discuss a somehow related concentration effect for a first order Gamma-limit for the elastica functional for plane curves.
