"Counting paths in random media"

Abstract: Counting the number of lattice paths is equivalent to considering the simple random walk and therefore a fundamental problem in probability. It is not a hard problem as it is but once we put some restriction, e.g. the self-avoidance constraint, then it becomes very hard and interesting problem. In this talk I will focus on another interesting variant where the lattice has a random defects. This model has got attention only recently and there areseveral very basic problems left open.
